Creature Chronicles

     This body of work, Creature Chronicles, started as sticker doodles on my desk while I was working at a pharmaceutical company in 2021. The overzealous coworkers with fanatical dedication to meaningless tasks were my muses in this creative process. I found it amusing and equally infuriating that how these creature churning factories’ most fierce upholders are its own victims.

     One might wonder how humans turn into creatures that believe their purpose of existence is running the hamster wheel until death does them apart. The simple answer is the steady diet of fear. The diet that creatures are constantly feed on will be illustrated as fecal matter in these works because both are similar in nature; the ideas that creatures are indoctrinated with and human waste both contain little to no nutrients for the body and mind

     During my time with the creatures, I realized that real culprit is the apathetic system with no work to life balance that forces one to run the hamster wheel for meager morsels. Creature Chronicles isn’t a mockery of creatures; it’s a visual ethnography of the bleak landscape that morphs humans into creatures and ensures that they wholly dedicate their existence to creaturing for 40 hours a week in exchange for crumbs.
